About the Cuetzalan tour
Cuetzalan lies about three hours from Puebla city. Its name comes from Náhuatl and means “place of quetzals.” The town has Totonac roots and sits near the state of Veracruz—an iconic Pueblo Mágico.We’ll pick you up at the location you indicate within Puebla city and head to the town of Apulco for a short break to visit Cascada de la Olla. Afterwards, we’ll continue to the Yohualichan Archaeological Site—“Houses of the Night” in Náhuatl—for a guided visit.
We’ll then explore Cuetzalan’s historic center: the Parish of San Francisco, City Hall, the main square, the Handicraft Market, and the Iglesia de los Jarritos.
Free time for lunch before returning to Puebla.
